The photoshoot in the fog had been my ‘idée fixe’ for years. And then, I got a chance to materialize it in partnership with a beautiful couple. The day of the photoshoot came. I woke up at 4 a.m., and it was raining outside. I called them:
— Guys, it is raining!
— Where? Not here!
Understanding that this rain would last and being fully convinced that the shoot would not happen, I asked:
— Are we still going?
— Sure!
I agreed because I tried to remain open to the world and to not miss opportunities. At first glance, the idea might seem like it would not work well. But I knew my wonderful and caring assistant would hold an umbrella over my camera.
When we arrived at the place, the rain eased off a little. Maybe the fog was on the menu, but not the rain!
Regardless, the shoot was quick but fun and filled with positive emotions. I was giving some advice:
— Guys, please take off your coats. Let’s go! Hug! Kiss! Run! Stop! Perfect pose! Beautiful picture, freeze! Awesome, let’s move on!
After the photoshoot, we sat in the car, drinking hot tea and talking.
“Be open to the world and it will give you something you couldn’t have imagined!”
